About Experience Economies 4: Chamber Play

Experience Economies invites you to our season finale event, Chamber Play: an evening of performance lectures and guided conversation. This special engagement with the Signet Society will present new works and works in progress by artists, scientists, and cultural interdisciplinarians in a multi-ring event, dispersed throughout the Signet house.
Featuring:
Theaster Gates: My Bourbon, My Glass Lantern Slides
Accompanied by musicians and a chorus of area academics, artist and Loeb Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Design Theaster Gates’s performance lecture will draw from 65 glass lantern slides from the University of Chicago library.
John Hulsey and Tomashi Jackson: Experience Economics
This collaboration between artists Tomashi Jackson and John Hulsey (a former Signet member) will create a mise en abyme of exclusivity, scarcity, and privileged access to knowledge within the Signet Society’s elite spaces. The work takes its cue from Marx (Groucho…) who claimed that he didn’t want to be part of any club who would have someone like him as a member.
Ben Lillie: Science: Theme and Variations
Ben Lillie is a physicist, Moth StorySLAM champion, and founder of The Story Collider. His Science: Theme and Variations, will invite conversations and stories from across the science disciplines.
Ian Wojtowicz: Mirror Box
Around the kitchen table, artist and writer Ian Wojtowicz will string together stories, food, and objects into a “memory palace,” recalling stories from Polish Jewish history.
Sunday, May 8, 6-8pm
The Signet Society
46 Dunster Street, Cambridge
Drinks and light food will be served
Experience Economies would like to express special thanks to the Signet Society. We hope to see you there!
